  2. Instructions • You are to construct a two and a half minute speech based on the person you chose for your research. • You are to pretend that your chosen person is coming to speak to a Year 9 assembly about their life and achievements. YOUR job is to introduce them.

  3. Your speech should have an attention grabbing intro that leads into who your chosen person is. • Through your speech, outline their achievements and what makes them a good person to speak to a Year 9 assembly. • Ensure that you conclude strongly about the importance of your chosen person.

  4. Requirements • You will need to have an intro, body and conclusion in your speech. • You must include at least THREE language techniques. • You should look to incorporate some delivery techniques into your speech. • You will need to ensure that you know your speech well so that you use sustained eye contact. • Your speech MUST be on cue cards.
