Overview Important Parts: Tongue Esophagus Heart Lungs Liver Gall Bladder Stomach Spleen Small & Large intestines Urinary Bladder Fat Bodies Testes/Ovaries
Tongue • Point of attachment: front part of the jaw • Long and sticky.
Esophagus • Located where the head and the body meet, • directly after the tongue.
Heart • Centrally located • Found just below the esophagus. • Small with a purple hue.
Lungs • Small • Frogs can breath through their skin. • Located below the heart towards the right leg.
Liver • Large and blackish-purple color. • Located below the heart covering the entire width of the body.
Gall Bladder • Appears red or grey. • Found under the liver. • Small, round, and centrally located on the upper body.
Stomach, Small Intestine, and Large Intestine • Stomach is located on the left side of the body. • Small intestine zigzags after the stomach. • Large intestine continues, wider and shorter in length.
Spleen • Located near the small and large intestine. • Small, round, and dark-red color.
Urinary Bladder • Connects to the bottom of the large intestine. • Located near the upper part of the leg. Urinary Bladder
Fat Bodies • Yellow, finger-like projections. • Store energy that is important for reproduction.
Reproductive Organs: Testes • Located near the urinary bladder. • Small and peach colored.
Reproductive Organs: Ovaries • If filled with eggs: black granules • No eggs: squiggly, thin structures under stomach & intestines • Located on lower half of the body.
