  2. Spanish origins (1774) • The Spanish brings cattle to Mexico and Texas and they explore and settle in the southwest.

  3. Mexican Independence (1821) • Mexicans fightthe French and wins their independence.

  4. Civil War (1861) • A war between north and south and north wins the war.

  5. Cattle era (1866) • Cattle became a big thing in life in Texas they also stared established ranches in Texas.

  6. Reconstruction (1867) • The federal government plan to restore the south to the union after the civil war.

  7. Barbed wire (1868) • Barbed wire was the first way to protect your cattle from running away or some one stealing your cattle.

  8. Closing of the open range (1884) • The reason of the closing of the open rage was sped of farming, population increase, states land policies.

  9. 20 century (1900) • The change of the cattle during day to day to the end of the cattle drivel.

  10. 21 century (2000) • It is no longer an industry it has change into buying and selling on the computer.
