Revising an Assessment • To edit delivery dates, feedback type or inclusion in Gradebook • change Published assessment setting • To edit questions, high security or timed settings • delete Published assessment • change Pending assessment • republish Pending assessment
Viewing Grades • Published assessment – Scores • Submission Status: Allow retake • Total Scores: Adjust grades, add comments • Questions: Responses, add comments • Statistics • Export: for Excel • Gradebook • If the option is set, test grades are sent to Gradebook
Question Pools • Contain questions to be used in assessments • Test questions don’t have to be in a pool • Belong to creator and are available in any course site in which creator has instructor access • Can be shared by the creator with other instructors who can use them in their courses
Question Pools Instructors can • Have a test choose a different subset of questions for each student from a pool • Export existing test questions and import them to a pool for later use • Edit questions in a pool • Changes made to the pool do not take effect in an existing assessment • Change pool point value of questions in assessment • Essential if drawing from a pool with unequally valued questions
Examples • Self-test • unlimited, immediate feedback • Random access • Table of Contents to review questions • Linear access • can only be taken once • questions cannot be reviewed
Suggestions • Check settings before publishing • Give directions • Provide self-test or practice assessments • Consider connections with timed tests • Deliver one question per web page • Review the assessment as a student
