SR 25 – Segment 4 (Logansport) US24/35 SR 29 SR 25 Burlington Avenue
Project Description and Scope Project Limits • Begins at SR 25 and CR 275W • Ends at US 24/35 0.7 miles east of Kokomo Pike • Total Length = 4.1 miles Scope • Improve travel time, efficiency and capacity of SR 25 • Upgrade SR 25 to current design standards • Improve safety Construction Contracts • Built using 2 mainline and 2 bridge contracts
Project Description and Scope SR 25 • 4 lane divided highway on new alignment • 60-foot median • Connector to existing SR 25 (“Old” SR 25) • Interchange at SR 29/Burlington Avenue
Project Description and Scope Bridges • SR 25 over Old 25 and Norfolk Southern Railroad • SR 25 over Unnamed Creek • SR 25 over SR 29 • SR 25 over Burlington Ave. • SR 25 over Kokomo Pike
Project Description and Scope Crossroads • CR 300S - No access to SR 25 - Cul-de-sac just east of railroad tracks • CR 175W - No access to SR 25 - Cul-de-sac’s on north and south side
Project Description and Scope Crossroads • CR 115W - No access to SR 25 - Cul-de-sac on south side - Convert CR 115W and CR 250S for through movement • CR 250S - Realign access to SR 29 to avoid conflict with interchange
Split Diamond Interchange • Southbound exit and Northbound entrance ramps at Burlington Avenue • Northbound exit and Southbound entrance ramps at SR 29 • Frontage Roads connect SR 29 and Burlington Avenue • SR 29 – Extend 4 Lane Section from US 24/35 to interchange; dedicated right and left turn lanes • Burlington Avenue - Widened to 4 lanes at interchange; dedicated left and right turn lanes • Stop condition for ramps and frontage roads
Construction Traffic Majority of construction on new alignment – minor impacts to existing roads • Existing SR 25 – temporary closures for bridge and connection construction • SR 29 – one lane open in each direction; temporary closures for bridge construction • Burlington Avenue - one lane in each direction; temporary closures for bridge construction • Kokomo Pike – temporary closures for bridge construction • US24/35 – one lane open in each direction during construction of connection

Project Schedule Estimated project cost: $65 million
Right-of-way • 178 acres of Right-of-Way required from 38 property owners • Acquisition of 15 parcels – relocation required • One parcel with no access (“land locked”)
