  3. 1. Quality review (QR)process What is QR? • Review of activities with the view to establish whether it meets the minimum standards of the QA&CPD program as per contractual requirement in order to continue to have the RACGP endorsement/accreditation status.

  4. Steps for QR:Activities may be chosen from:- random selection - targeted provider group - targeted activity group If selected for QR:- formal notification letter to EAR - notification status suspended - request to submit full application - review full application - conduct GP interview

  5. If successful: - approval letter sent to EAR - notification status reactivated If not successful: - letter sent to EAR - amend and resubmit as requested - notification status remains suspended - full application for next activity Appeals Process Write a letter to National QA & CPD office QA & CPD Subcommittee

  7. Evidence Based Medical Journal Club (EBMJC) Designed to encourage GPs to discuss matters that arise in their day to day clinical practice in peer supported environment. Criteria: • Min of 3 GPs and max of 12 pax • Facilitator • May be online or F2F • Min of 1 hr/meeting • Must attend min of 4 meetings/year • Must complete 1 literature review & present results to the group • Articles reviewed must be from peer reviewed journals

  9. Rapid Plan, Do, Study Act (PDSA) Encourages general practice to implement a plan for improvement through successive cycles of systematic change. Criteria: • Facilitator • Between 2 – 10 pax (Min 1 GP) • Min 3 Rapid PDSA cycles in 3 mos. • Can be F2F, teleconference or online

  10. Online Administration • Attendance Lists • Must be uploaded within 2 months from completion of activity Set up in excel and save as txt (delimited tab)

  11. Activity Report • Input value as a percentage in whole numbers • Do not enter % symbol • If no value input “0” • Must be uploaded within 2 months from completion of activity

  12. Timeline: Activity Approval • Standard applications, Accreditation and Reaccreditation – minimum 6 wks prior to conducting the event • Notification (online) – minimum 2 wks prior to conducting the event.
