  5. Depressants – depress (slow down) action in the Central Nervous System • Alcohol • Barbiturates (downers) • Inhalants

  6. Stimulants – stimulate (speed up) action in the Central Nervous System • Cocaine • Crack • Crystal Meth • Amphetamines
