Animal Rights The position that animals should not be exploited. Belief that it is ethically, morally, and inherently wrong to use animals for human purposes under any condition. Animal Welfare The position that animals should be treated humanely. Animals can be used for human purposes but that they should be treated so that any discomfort is kept to a minimum. Which Am I? • Description of Person: • Animal Science major who participates in all lab activities. Owns pets and enjoys being around animals. Volunteers for local animal rescue mission.
