Code Enforcement Board • Seven members appointed on the basis of experience or interest in the fields of zoning and building control • Shall include, whenever possible: • An architect • A business person • An engineer/surveyor • A general contractor • A subcontractor • A licensed real estate broker or licensed real estate salesman
Code Enforcement Board • Has jurisdiction to hear and decide alleged violations of the codes and ordinances in force in the county • Has the authority to levy fines against those persons found in non-compliance of county codes • Subject to the inclusion of those professional specialties, each district of the county shall be represented by at least one member. Currently, Districts 1 and 3 are not represented. • Meets third Wednesday of each month at 9:00 a.m. • Financial Disclosure Required • Juan Velez has resigned. Mr. Velez was serving in the general contractor category.
Code Enforcement Board • ACTION REQUESTED: Appointment of an individual to succeed Juan Velez on the Code Enforcement Board with a term expiring December 31, 2014.
