  2. Transportation Impact Fee Update • November 13, 2012 BCC Approved New Impact Fee Schedule and Ordinance • Applied 42%, rate of calculated fee for a period of 18 Months • Applied 56%, rate of calculated fee thereafter • Effective Date February 16, 2013

Impact Fee Update/Code Revisions • Multi-Family Rate Changes: • Following additional analysis (eliminating outliers and lower trip generation), impact fee rates for some residential categories reduced • Affected Land Use Categories: • Multi-Family • Residential/Condominium/Townhouse • High-Rise Residential Condominium/Townhouse • Student Housing • No changes to Single Family Residential

  4. Impact Fee Update/Code Revisions • Retail Rate Changes: • Following additional analysis, impact fee rates for some retail categories increased • Retail Land Uses Above 200,000 Square Feet • Study updates were not reflected in ordinance • Rates changed between draft and final report

  9. Transportation Impact Fee Update Page 2 (Section 23-87(a)), beginning on line 66: • the reasonably anticipated costs of growth-necessitated major road transportation network system expansion and improvements.

Transportation Impact Fee Update Page 9 (Section 23-88, Definitions), beginning on line 364: Transportation Impact Fee Study shall mean the study prepared by Tindale-Oliver and Associates and entitled Orange County Transportation Impact Fee Update dated September 5, 2012, as amended December 27, 2012. The study reflects changes to the cost, credit, and demand components of the Orange County Transportation Impact Fee Ordinance, and develops a separate multi-modal fee for the designated Alternative Mobility Area (AMA). Strike-through and underline indicate changes from Draft 6 Corrected Ordinance Dated 01/25/13. This is a new definition, so entire definition will be underlined in ordinance.
