  2. Parts of a Business Letter Parts of a Business Letter (in order of appearance): • Sender’s Address (Return Address) and email • Today’s Date • Recipient’s Address • Salutation (Dear Senator Zeldin:) • Body (3-4 paragraphs) • Closing (Sincerely,) • Enclosures (attached documents), if necessary

  3. Formatting and Font Checklist: • Is your letter in Times New Roman font, size 12? • Is it in block format (all text is left-aligned and single spaced, with a double space between paragraphs)? • Is there a colon (:) after your salutation? • Is there a comma (,) after your closing? • Did you use the show/hide button (¶) to check your spacing?
