  3. Telehealth • Tele = distant, from a distance • Telehealth = health care that is given over a distance (McGonigle and Mastrian, 2009)

  4. NASA’s space program became the first demonstration of remote monitoring of health; therefore opening the door to telehealth care.(McGonigle and Mastrian, 2009)
