Why is it Important? • Mature comic books being release (e.g. Watchmen and V for Vendetta). • Canadian cartoonist Chester Brown’s lessons that can be learned from comic books. • 1. “Superheroes act outside the law, so why can’t you?” (Anti-Government).
Where do you draw the line? • Where do you draw the line of acceptable and unacceptable? • Example: V for Vendetta and Watchmen.
What to do? • Comics as crime shows. Working with police instead of around police. • The entire industry does not need to change, but the entire industry does not need to make an anti-government message
