Conclusion Paragraph • Restate Thesis • Don’t copy/paste • Use synonyms • Thesis: Atticus is a hero because he stands up for what he believes in, while Janet Vollmer is a hero because she protected her students’ lives. • Restatement: A true hero is shown in Atticus because he always does what he thinks is right. Similarly, Janet Vollmer helped save her students during a terrible tragedy.

Conclusion Paragraph • Revisit Hook • What type of hook did you use? • Return to that idea • Hook: “Heroes are ordinary people who make themselves extraordinary”—unknown. • Revisit Hook: Like the famous quote says, heroes don’t have to be special; they can simply be normal people doing important things.
