Major Activities • CNNIC • Conducting research on IP address • allocations within a network, security considerations in protocol and revision of IPv6 format • TWNIC • Sharing information to its community to help prepare for IPv6 • e.g.,a list of IPv6 ready products, IPv6 website directory, dedicated website on IPv4 exhaustion • KRNIC • preparing for IPv6 transition as a national plan and has set a flag date as June 2011
Discussions • It was suggested that changes in IPv6 format in CNNIC’s research should be discussed in the IETF • KRNIC has set a flag date as a milestone to prepare for IPv6 but it is not a registry’s role to speculate the date of APNIC’s IPv4 pool exhaustion • Outreach activities on IANA’s IPv4 pool exhaustion was shared and will improve collaboration for the exhaustion of APNIC pool
