  1. 5 Themes of Geography Postcard

  2. Lesson Objective Students will be able to identify and analyze how their neighborhood or country has been influenced by migration, culture and modifying the environment.

  3. Lesson Activity: Each student will create a postcard that describes the five themes of geography. Students can choose to represent how each of the five themes relates to their own life in a letter to any person that they choose. Each theme needs to be underlined in a different color, with colored pencil. Students must provide a colored illustration representing one of their five themes of geography as their picture on their postcard.

  5. What your postcard will look like… Make a stamp in the corner On this side of the postcard you will write your “letter” describing your 5 themes of geography to a friend, parent, or a teacher. You will underline each theme in a different color. You must have an opening and a closing to your letter. You will put the address of the person that you are sending the letter to on this side. If you don’t know the address make one up.

  6. What your postcard will look like… The front must be a hand drawn colored picture that can accurately be portrayed as one of YOUR 5 Themes of Geography.
