Current Plan • Feasibility stage -31st May 1999 • Select Two Case studies by evaluation of benefits • Engage vendors and seek commitment • Scope the testing work Functional /non functional • Establish numbers and locations of Laboratories • may not use the PET lab model • May use vendor sites • Execution Phase - June 99 to Oct 2000

  5. Current status • Setup and Kick-off held • Initial meeting with vendors • Integrated Security with case studies • Plan to progress after Prague workshop • Simplified project task structure c.f. PPD • Recognises limited number of task leads • Add complication if required after feasibility phase • Liaison with TMF planned

  6. Tasks • T0,1 Project Management and Dissemination • T2 Phase 1 Feasibility scoping & selection • T3 Case Study A, including Security • T4 Case Study B, including Security • T5 Laboratory evaluation and testing • T6 Gateway evolution XML, HTTP-NG,...

  7. Learning Points • Focus on area of: • Interconnection Directive • Ordering • Vendors need early wins • Vendor products should save ~2.5 years • Cannot cover specific back-end OSS integration matters
