Temperaments, Dominating Traits • Traditionalists (SJ), 46% pop; High Responsibility, Stability, Hierarchy. + Practical, Organized, Systematic. - Long-range planning. • Experiencers (SP), 27% pop; Autonomy, Variety and Action. + Agile at seizing opportunities - Not predictable. • Idealists (NF), 16% pop; Understand and Connect, Non-Routinary + Bring out the best in others. - Decisions based on personal likes/dislikes. • Conceptualizers (NT), 10% pop; Autonomy, Variety, Intellectual Stimulation. + Great innovators. - Can be too complex for others to understand.
Developing Your Abilities • 4 Functions: Dominant, Auxiliary, 3rd and 4th. • Birth to 6: Born with a blueprint. Not evident. • 6 to 12: Dominant function starts to show. Patterns of behavior become clearer. • 12 to 25: Strengthen auxiliary function to balance dominant function. 3rd and 4th functions fall into line (still undeveloped). • 25 to 50: Develop 3rd function; mid-life crisis. Time to reassess to change priorities! Later 4th function develops. • 50+: Drawn to use 4th function more successfully. It requires concentration. This is your weakest function! • Example for ESFP: 1. Sensing, 2. Feeling, 3. Thinking, 4. Intuition
