ESF Community Grants ESF Community Grants provide grants to smallorganisationsin the voluntary and community sector to provide support to unemployed & inactive individuals to engage them and move them towards employment through packages of training and support.
About the Funders The grants are funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) and the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), and are managed in West Yorkshire by Groundwork
The Grant Fund • £2.73m total funding available • Grants of £5k - £20k • 6mth projects (some flexibility available on request) • Approx. £1,280 per participant
Priority Groups • Participants should be unemployed (pref. 6mths +) or inactive and aged 16+ • We want to make sure that, of the • participants supported at least: • 14% are over 50 years of age • 22% have disabilities • 25% are from ethnic minorities • 36% are women
Targets The Community Grants Fund will progress: 17% of participants into employment 14% of participants into education or training We expect that projects will progress different proportions of participants into each outcome depending on the groups worked with.
