Assessment Rubric for the 21st Century • Twenty-five (25) total elements • Three areas • Teaching and Learning • Information Access and Delivery • Program Administration • Three levels (p. 33) • Basic • Proficient • Exemplary
Goal of choice: B. Information Access and Delivery, 1b—Resources • S.M.A.R.T. Goal: To increase usage of subscription databases • Two strategies: • Add database information to library Web page • Hold staff development for teachers • For each strategy, • Who? When? How assessed?
Goal of choice: C. Program Administration, 2. Administrative Support • S.M.A.R.T. Goal: To increase principal’s awareness of instructional role of library media specialist • Two strategies: • Meet to discuss Academic Success @ Your Library brochure • Submit monthly report that not only shows numbers but also connects library activities to SOL and content instruction and schedule follow-up discussion • For each strategy, • Who?
