    1. 32/ House wife/ Kollam Weakness of lower limbs- 2 years Loss of hair- 8 months

    2. Difficulty in getting up from squatting position -2 yrs gradually progressed; now has difficulty in climbing up stairs/ steps Weakness is persistent and bilateral. No difficulty in walking on level ground No weakness of upper limbs Ayurveda treatment

    3. Hair loss- 8 months. Pain over thigh and hip- 4 months Dull aching, more of a discomfort. No radiation.

    4. No h/o blurring of vision/diplopia No difficulty in chewing/ swallowing No neck muscle weakness No sensory abnormality No fasciculations No h/o recurrent fever No heat/cold intolerance No h/o weight loss No h/o joint pains/ skin rashes/ oral ulcers

    5. Past hx- Infertility; PCOD Took treatment for 4 years Two children, Twins- LSCS- 10 yrs of age Irregular mentrual cycles. No family history of similar disease. Bowel and bladder- Normal No h/o taking statins/ steroids.

    6. Possibilites considered: Muscle disease Muscular dystrophies. Polymyositis Collagen Vascular Disease Endocrine- Thyroid, Cushings.
