Adjacent Angles – are NEXT to each other. They share a vertex, a side, but no interior points. They do not overlap. <AEC and <CED are adjacent angles <AEB and <BEC are adjacent angles <AEC and <BEC are NOT adjacent angles. They overlap. <BEC and <CED are adjacent angles
Angle Bisector– a line, ray, or segment that cuts an angle in half. The bisector creates two congruent angles.
Segment Bisector– a line, ray, or segment that intersects the segment at it’s midpoint and cuts it in half. The bisector creates two congruent segments. Perpendicular Bisector– a line, ray, or segment that intersects the segment at it’s midpoint and cuts it in half – at a right angle.
Please get a straight edge, a compass and a piece of printer paper.
