  1. Gladsaxe municipality Gladsaxe municipality has 63.000 citizens and ca. 2.500 enterprises / factories. The total area is ca. 25 km2

  3. Department of Environment • In 2005 the department used 7,15 ppyon environmental inspections on enterprises / factories • 175 factories got 228 inspections in 2005. • The Department of Environment gave in 2005 9 factories an updated permission to discharge their wastewater to sewer

  4. Jernpladsen A/S • Jernpladsen A/S has an ISO 14.001 certification • In 2001 Jernpladsen A/S got an environmental permission, • and a wastewater permission in 2002

  5. Environmental permission The environmental permission is given with 27 terms in differentcategories: • Arrangement and management, • air pollution (e.g. dust) • noise, • waste and • a yearly green report.

  6. Yearly green report The green report is information about: • Consumption of energy and water • Types of waste, quantity and receiver • Accidents of relevance for the environment • …

  7. Inspection and enforcement • According to the low, we must give notice 14 days before inspection • If Jernpladsen do not fulfil their permission, we impress in writing • If necessary, we ask the police to raise charge
