  2. PMD DA • PMD-DA -----Two tasks • --- Calculation of Calibration constants • --- Calculation of Pedestal mean and rms • Calibration algorithm is plugged in AliPMDCalibgain.cxx. Output file • “pmd_calib.root” exported to DAQ FXS. • The algorithm to calculate Pedestal mean and rms is plugged in • AliPMDCalibpedestal.cxx. • Output file “pmd_ped.root” is exported to DAQ FXS. • STATUS: PMD-DA is written and code in CVS. Validation is waited.

  3. PMD DA • Shuttle Pre-processor: • PMD pre-processor is ready and in CVS and Validated in nightly test run. Run Types: For Calibration : PHYSICS For Pedestal : PEDESTAL_RUN • Detector calibration algorithms from ESDs/ESDfriends for second pass reconstruction (special focus: which data from ESDs/ESDfriends is needed). PMD Calibration has to be done before ESD is made. PMD doesn’t require calibration from ESDs/ESDfriends.
