What are colleges looking for? • Solid GPA and/or Class rank • Challenging classes (honors & A.P.) • Solid ACT/SAT scores • Extracurricular & outside activities – quality over quantity
EPAS Testing • Explore - 8th grade (25 possible) • Plan - 10th grade (32 possible) • ACT - 11th grade (36 possible)
What if I plan to go to C.O.D.? • C.O.D. uses ACT/PSAE for placement • High school grades are used for placement • If I have done poorly in high school and on the ACT/PSAE - then I might have to take remediation classes where I do not receive college credit at C.O.D.
How can I grow more than expected? • Work hard in school • Read outside of school • Take honors and A.P. classes • Take a Test prep class junior year • Kaplan & Excel Edge Test Prep • Free Kaplan Online resources • www.kaptest.com/kas • ACT Code: KAS2013ACT
