Open Positions for 2011-2012 President Vice President of Leadership Vice President of Career Development Vice President of Social Awareness Vice President of Civic Awareness Vice President of Service Learning (Historian) (Committee member)
El Presidente: Preside over all club meetings Coordinates the efforts of other officers Makes sure everyone belongs to a committee and is involved
VP of Leadership: • Preside in absence of President • Helps to identify, invite, and introduce guest speakers: • Past officers • Alumni • Other student clubs • Political and business leaders • Assists the Specialist with leadership projects and presentations
VP of Career Development: • Helps the Specialist contact and set up job shadows, career speakers,field trips to local businesses • Works with iJAG students to identify career interests • Helps with ideas and plans for fundraising opportunities
VP of Social Awareness: • Keeps track of all student birthdays • Helps plan social events for iJAG • Plays and concerts • Games • Movies • Works with students to improve their social etiquette in various situations
VP of Civic Awareness: • Plans and organizes students for Legislative Day and iJAG Nation • Identifies opportunities to become involved in the community and government • Organize field trips to government buildings and/or guest speakers
VP of Service Learning: • Identifies various opportunities for students to gain community service experience • Keeps track of student service hours • Gives presentations to the public about iJAG activities
If you do not become an elected officer, you auto-matically become a committee member, as long as you are in iJAG! You will get a chance to choose which committee(s) you prefer! Committees:
