Mummification means to preserve a body by embalming it and wrapping it in cloth. The mummification is preformed by a priest. • After removing the heart, the priest would weigh the heart with an ostrich feather. They would think that, if your heart is heavier than the feather, then, a monster, half dog, half crocodile, would wait for you in the gates of the after life, and would eat you. • But if your heart weighed less than the ostrich feather, that means you were an honest person, and you were allowed to go through the gates of the afterlife, and you would become immortal.
