  2. Definition • Diversity is the differences between your students. • For example • Learning styles • Gender • Maturity • Multicultural education is the addition of different cultures into the classroom • For example • Food • Clothing • Religion

  3. How to reduce the effects of Racism • Do not be bias with races • Do not pick one over the other • Do not give extra attention to either • Do not separate the students • Mix the students in seating arangments • Do not let it happen • Talk to students after class that are having problems with racism.

  4. Don’t Be Blind…Be Aware It is always a great idea to get to know your students and to know how they interact with each other. Know the differences of each student and get to know how they change through out the year.
