Scene 1: Location: School Gym 9:00PM • The gym will be dark with only security and exit lights, lighting the gym. • Enter Billy and Annette. • They appear nervous and agitated by being in the gym when it is so dark.
Scene 1: THS GYM - Interior • Scene opens with a shot of the dark gym. • Hanging from the basketball goal is a young girl with one phrase tied around her neck in red. “I’M SORRY!” • Fade to black:
Scene 1: Billy & Annette: THS GYM - Exterior • Scene opens with Billy and Annette walking towards the gym. One shot with camera facing characters. One shot with camera behind them. • The two characters are conversing on their friend Stephanie who has asked them to meet her their. • The two characters walk up the stairs and meet David and Jane
Scene 1: Billy & Annette - Dialogue • Billy: I wonder why Stephanie text us to come to the gym this late. • Annette: I don’t know. But I’m scared. Something in her voice when I talked to her didn’t sound right. • The two continue discussing Stephanie’s strange behavior as they walk in to the gym steps where they greet David and Jane
Scene 1: David and Jane: THS GYM: Exterior • David and Jane are sitting on bricks outside THS Gym. They are waiting on their friends David and Annette. • The two characters are conversing on their friend Stephanie who has asked them to meet her their. • They also begin to discuss an incident involving the 5 friends that happened a year ago. • Jane is visibly upset about this incident while David is angered by Jane bring up the incident.
Scene 1: David and Jane: Dialogue • Jane: “I wish Billy and Annette would hurry up.” • David: “I know. I’m missing the big fight on cable tonight. When I see her I’m gonna smack the mess out of her!” • Jane: “See David, why do you have to be like that. Nothing would have happened last year had you learned to control your anger.” • David (grabs Jane by the shirt): “Didn’t we agree never to talk about last year?” • Two stop the conversation when Billy and Annette walk up to them.
