  7. HRA: Part of Everyday Practice • Become familiar with the website and accompanying tools. There really are neat things in there! • Must be unique to your role & your site. • Promote using your own words. • Connect client needs & website utility. • Next are a few examples….

  8. Things you can say to clients • “Did you know you can log your blood pressure stats on the HRA website? It’s a great way to keep track of your progress.” • “After we’re done with your cardiac risk profile (CRP), don’t forget to enter your numbers into the HRA website. It’s a convenient way to track your progress year to year.” • “Don’t forget you can enter your fitness activities on the website, it will help keep you motivated to keep going!”

Things you can say to clients • “The holiday season is upon us, and the HRA website has easy and convenient tools to keep us on track with our diet and exercise plans.” • “We talked about a lot of things today, but I also want to let you know you can do more reading about stress management and relaxation on the HRA website. It’s something you can do privately at home, or even on your lunch.”

  11. Barriers/Challenges and Responses Barrier: “I can’t access the website from my work computer!” Response: “That’s OK, you can take it at home if you have a computer there.” Barrier: “I don’t have time to take it.” Response: “The HRA only takes about 20 minutes.”

  12. Barriers/Challenges & Responses Barrier: “I don’t trust putting my information online.” Response: “Your individual information is never shared with employers. The only information they may see is an anonymous aggregate data report on the total population…” and “Your information is protected by the Privacy Act”.
