5. Species Selected Linked to the garden design
All species are native to the basin, feel that we can collect seed or transplants for these species, and are important cultural plants
We will use sustainable harvest techniques for all plants when seed and transplants are collecting never taking more than 20% of a population, but more often keeping it under 5% of the populationLinked to the garden design

6. Mention each of the task, highlight volunteer time
Discuss that it will be a two year project because not all species may be found in seed/ suitable transplant locations in the first year so want to plant in year two as well, primary installation of the garden will occur this year with follow-up planting and development of maintenance plan – traditional tending and stewardship practices, highlight importance of partnershipMention each of the task, highlight volunteer time

7. Budget Requested$35,000 Maybe mention again volunteers, and that this was started with just 17k of FS NPM $ that this money is designed to build upon
Could remove the breakdown of cost per person if necessary and just show who will be involved and for how long….not sure some of this will have to be adjusted later day wise anyway because may be short of some staff funding, but may be compensated from in other areas?
*Match for the project including (Tallac Site Staff Volunteer Time to make garden signs – 1,000, Tribal Youth Volunteer Time – 1,000, and NFN3 Agreement with the Washoe Tribe from 2010 funding 2,024)
Anything will help us move forward, but really need full amount to complete implementationMaybe mention again volunteers, and that this was started with just 17k of FS NPM $ that this money is designed to build upon

8. TNC as a stakeholder who supports the project – they just completed an MOU with the Tribe to provide a traditional gathering area on one of their parcels in the valley
Placed this slide last in case we run out of time, they can determine this on their own, but I also thought it would be nice to just present right up front - ? Are sometimes shortened for space.TNC as a stakeholder who supports the project – they just completed an MOU with the Tribe to provide a traditional gathering area on one of their parcels in the valley
