The vision of the Addison media center is to meet or exceed district, state, and national expectations for school library media programs.

Our extra programs would not be possible without the help of our many wonderful volunteers!
Seussapalooza and other reading events were made possible by the participation of our regular parent volunteers. • Volunteers contribute an average 5 hours per week to the program with more hours donated toward book fairs and other events. • Our level of service would not be possible without our parent volunteers.

“Camp Readmore”Summer Reading Program… • Provides ALL students with FREE book and bookmark • Involves ALL students, current, new, and graduating • Asks ALL students to take the summer reading pledge • Collaborates with our local public library • Identifies vendors who offer incentives • Recognizes reading achievement when school starts • Motivates Top Readers with Capt. Readmore activities
Cobb Virtual Library research skills instruction strongly connected with curriculum standards for meaningful searching

GNN News Show broadcast every day of the school year to all classes and involved all students in recording and producing the show.
GNN Recruited 30 students and led to an after school movie club.
Preparing students for the future--Over 100 ebooks and two subscription resources added this year!
Addison Database Access (*Addison students have access to subscriptions NOT available to all Cobb students)
Before, during, and after school hours provide equitable access.
The media center is available before, during, after school, and some evenings as needed.
