June 18th - LAST WEEK’S HIGHLIGHTS Make a difference. Change the world one child and one community at a time. SPEAKER INVOCATION On June 3rd, Butch Shadwell (Consultant in Applied Physics and Electronics), returned from a special meeting at the National Academy of Sciences in Washington DC. He was among a small group of scientists and engineers from around the world invited to participate in a United Nations program called the Humanitarian Technology Challenge. The objective of this program is to identify and/or develop new technologies that may be efficiently used to alleviate human suffering in the world. Butch was elected the international chair for the Reliable Energy Challenge team by those scientists attending. Heavenly Father, Let Your light, which shines on all people, reveal those who need our help. Let Your light warm the hearts of those in the community who can help us in our service work. And let Your light illuminate the lives of the children whom we help. And now bless this food to our use and us to Your service. Amen From: “Invocations for Kiwanis Occasions” by James J.
