LSOVD • LSOVD is a volunteer organization aiming at improving the self reliance of parents and relatives of (ex) drug users with respect to problems arising from their children’s use of illegal drugs. • Represents parents and relatives of drug users and defends their interests. • Yearly reach of 400 – 600 parents and relatives. Activities • Runs 30 self help groups for parents and relatives throughout the country. • Operates a telephone helpline for and by parents and relatives The help line is open 5 days a week 10:00 – 22:00 hours. • Does email counselling. • Organize special units for grandparents, parents young addicts, parents who lost a child, brothers and sisters of drug users and parents who’s children are addicted and have a mental problem. • Organize contact days; Council of active parents.
