Agenda • A little Background of the week 1 & 2 task • Introduction (3rd week’s task) • Updated design • Hardware and Software aspects • Skills Acquired • Conclusion • Acknowledgement
Week 1st task • The week we used the potentiometer or pot. • First week design.
Week 2nd task • Updated design. • This controller has the a digital output data device called Accelerometer (ADXL345) which is accessible through SPI or I2C digital interface.
Introduction(Week 3rd) • This week task was to make a controller based upon the provided disability • The controller must be build considering the requirements of a handicap or a disabled person • Components Used: • ADXL345 (Digital accelerometer) • 2 switches • LEDs (Light Emitting Diode) • Wires • Microcontrollers • Pic – microcontroller (I2C) • Psoc – microcontroller (SPI) • Use the serial communication interface protocols • I2C (Inter-Integrated Circuit) • Two wire communication protocol • SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface) • Three/ four wire serial protocol
Updated design • Due the provided disability we have to update the design which is as shown in pictures below
Hardware and Software • The Hardware aspects • Testing • Connections • Soldering • The software aspects • C programming • PSOC– microcontroller • SPI (4 wire) communication
Skills Acquired • Communication • Writing skills • Presentation • Team Work • Problem solving and working under pressure • Time management • Technical and software
Conclusion • Through this week’s activity we think out of the box and made new controller. • This controller can either be used to play game or to control the wheelchair. • Learned how to interface accelerometer using SPI and I2C protocols. • Gives us a wide knowledge about the electronics • Programming the Wiki page • Work under pressure
Acknowledgement • It has been learning week for our team which wouldn’t be possible without the tremendous support and guidance of the staff members. • I big thanks to all the team who organised this activity.
Thanks for listening! Any questions
