Founded in 2008 Members from Austria, Finland, Latvia, Serbia and Slovenia (Rapporteur) Objective: to assist METG in developing proposals for amendment of the regional provisions in the EUR ANP (Doc 7754) related to themeteorological services forlow-level flights. Working program 2009/2010 To assist ICAO in the preparation of a user consultation workshop Analyse the outcome of the user consultation workshop To assess the adequacy of the existing regional provisions in the EUR Basic ANP and FASID; Prepare, as necessary, a draft amendment proposal thereto; and Report findings to the METG. PT/LLF

  5. Summary of MET services replies • MET services from around 80% of countries produce some kindof MET forecasts for LLF on routine basis

  7. Summary of MET services replies • the lead time for the issuance of ICAO standard low level forecasts is in the majority of cases around 1 hour

  10. Summary of MET services replies • More than 80% countries send GAMET forecasts for international exchange and less than 30% countries send graphical forecasts (SIGWX and W+T forecasts) for international exchange

  11. Summary of user’s replies • Around 80% of users had chosen graphical format of LL forecasts as their first preference, plain text forecasts being the second preference (around 40 %) and so on…,

  12. Summary of user’s replies • The majority of users would like to have LLF issued 1 to 2 hours in advance

  13. Summary of user’s replies • The majority of users use all available and relevant information (Low level forecast, AIRMETs….)
