  4. Liptov is described as the heart of Slovakia

  5. Liptov - Majestic mountains, vast meadowlands, picturesque valleys and glimmering tarns hide secrets, tales and enormous natural beauties

  6. Liptov belongs to the most popular touristic regions of Slovakia

  7. With their unique beauty and rare natural formations there are many marked and well maintained tourist paths and cycling-treks.

  8. Winter sport lovers can find excellent skiing conditions and ski resorts

  9. Dolný and Horný Liptov provide excellent opportunities for all-year-round individual and group sport activities.

  10. Liptov is well-known also for its beautiful caves

  11. Across the whole area flows the Váh River, the longest in Slovakia.

  13. Liptov boasts numerous museums, art galleries, castles and churches from different time periods.

  14. The first area of interest might be Upper Liptov, specifically Liptovský Hrádok
