  3. S:Warm Up 1.) Alondra drove from her house to school. She drove 15 blocks east, 10 blocks north, 15 blocks west, 5 blocks north, and stopped at the park. Where is the school in relation to Alondra’s house? A 15 blocks north B 5 blocks north C 45 blocks west D 15 blocks east 2.) 328 ÷ 8 = 3.) Simplify 4 16

  4. P: Comparing and ordering rational numbers: Strategy: To compare numbers other than fractions, line the numbers up vertically. Line up the decimal point. Add zeroes to the right of the decimal if necessary. *READ if the numbers should be greatest to least (descending) or least to greatest (ascending) Example 1: order from greatest to least: 34.432, 3.443, 4.34, 34.4, 34.49

  5. Line up the decimal points. Start from the left and compare the digits. Look for the first place where the digits are different. A: Earth Science ApplicationThestar Wolf 359 has an apparent magnitude of 13.5. Suppose another star has an apparent magnitude of 13.05. Which star has the smaller magnitude? 13.50 13.05 0 is less than 5. 13.05 < 13.50 The star that has an apparent magnitude of 13.05 has the smaller magnitude.
