Primary Research: Primary research is when something is investigated first hand, for instance vox pops, questionnaires, interviews, focus groups. • Secondary Research: This is when information is found out from other investigators findings, they are often used to compare your own research with and see if your findings are similar. For example reading through books with research in it, or carrying out internet research; looking at different websites, speaking to people who have investigated the same thing you are interested in. Types of research

  3. Qualitative research: This is when in depth information is gathered from interviews or vox pops. The type of questions that may receive qualitative answers would be for instance; ‘’give your opinion on how the film industry carry out their marketing’’ . This is an open ended question so it leave room for a comprehensive answer. • Quantitative research: This is research that is conducted to gather numerical or statistic data. For example surveys, making pie charts out of common factors found when carrying out research etc… Types of research
