  2. Why Web Conference? • Multiple people separated by geography • Would like to share files and information • Web conferencing is easier, cheaper, and less time consuming than flying

  3. Disadvantages • One-on-one interaction is missing • Probably not a good way to make sales pitches • Potential for distractions is greater than is normally the case for an in-person meeting

  4. Common Features • Screen sharing • Whiteboard • Instant-Messaging • VOIP • Video Conferencing • Recording

  5. Other Considerations • Required Software • Some tools require special software to be downloaded. Others only require a browser. • Price • Some tools are free. Others are subscription-based or require a one-time fee.
