JGR Special Section on NPP Cal/Val Science ResultsManuscript Update • Manuscript by Nalli, Barnet, et al., “Validation of Infrared Sounder Environmental Data Records: Application to the Cross-track Infrared Microwave Sounder Suite (CrIMSS)”, has been accepted, pending “major revision” • The Associate Editor (FuzhongWeng) has requested that the paper and coauthor list be shortened • I consulted with Chris Barnet regarding the conundrum of having to reduce the coauthor list, and he suggested that some people that are included as coauthors on the Divakarla et al. paper could be taken off this one. • We also would gladly accept “volunteers” or suggestions in this regard to help alleviate the otherwise awkward position it puts us in… • One of the reviewers has requested an extreme reduction in Sections 3.1 and 3.2. While we will certainly take some of the specific constructive comments into account, it is our intention to rebut this.
