We Must Accept What God Has Given Us We Must Honor What God Has Given Us!
Everyone must discern the area of ministry that God has assigned us. Failure to do so may cause us to TRESPASS into an area and anointing in which God has not called us .
In the Old Testament, people Died for trespassing an office. King Saul lost his ministry when he trespassed into the priest’s office.
Let’s Look at I Samuel 13:9-14 9 And Saul said, Bring hither a burnt offering to me, and peace offerings. And he offered the burnt offering.
10 And it came to pass, that as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering, behold, Samuel came; and Saul went out to meet him, that he might salute him. KJV
14 But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the LORD commanded thee.KJV
King Uzziah • Head Strong • Proud • Mighty Army • Special Devices For Warfare
2 Chronicles 26:15 15And he made in Jerusalem engines, invented by cunning men, to be on the towers and upon the bulwarks, to shoot arrows and great stones withal. And his name spread far abroad; for he was marvellously helped, till he was strong. KJV
2 Chronicles 26:16 16 But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction: for he transgressed against the LORD his God, and went into the temple of the LORD to burn incense upon the altar of incense. KJV
The Anointing • Works in areas where God placed you • Recognize your limits • Does not work outside of God’s will • If God calls you to be a preacher you may not be a pastor
Instead of being known as a mighty man of God he became known as a leper. 2 Chronicles 26:16-13
KORAH Chosen by God among the Levites to help transport the sacred furniture of the Tabernacle. He was to aid the priests but not to serve as a priest.
They came as a group and confronted Moses and Aaron saying, “you’ve overstepped yourself. This entire community is holy and God is in their midst. So why do you act like you’re running the whole show?” Numbers 16:3 The Message
Korah failed to realize that it was God who sets and appoints, not man. He wanted to set himself up. Instead the earth opened and swallowed him up! Numbers 16:31, 32
We must honor the work that God calls us to do, whether big or small, public or private.
David did not have the anointing to build the house, but his son, Solomon was chosen to carry that anointing. 2 Samuel 7:13
Solomon His name means Peace
