  1. Fairchild A-10A Thunderbolt II - USAF UK Jul07 The boom of 63-8033, a KC135R Stratotanker plugged into a Spangdahlem A10 operating out of Lakenheath. Vastly experienced Boom operator from the 100th ARW was not responsible for any of the dents in the nose of the hog!! 'Pluging in' for an A10 pilot is not easy by any means due to the location of the receiving point. Often lifting the nose up to early to make contact. The backdrop: The North Sea abeam Coningsby.
