How did it start? International Conference on Computing and Mission
In the late 1970's and early '80's there was a group called CCU (Christian Computer Users) that met for several years...
In the early 1980's the Christian Ministries Management Association wanted to have a Computer track along with the other tracks and they merged the CCU functions into the CMMA to be a part of their annual conference.
At one of the CMMA conferences, Paul Sturgis, met with Bob Hodge, Norm Ducharme, Ron Tenney, Dave Sironi, and several others and decided that we needed a conference that offered more about computers and missions.
In 1988, Norm Ducharme and Bill Jack visited Taylor University. The next year Bob Hodge and Dale Sloat hosted the first ICCM.
ICCM has been hosted at Taylor University, JAARS, and Abilene Christian University.
