GED Test Format As of Jan. 1, 2014 the GED testing format has changed
GED Test Content Based on College and Career Readiness Standards: • Reasoning through language arts • Math • Social Studies • Science
Reminder Scores for the 2002 series or prior will not carry forward to the new test series. Parental consent forms are still needed for ages 16 and 17 only
Reminder Age waiver forms signed by the superintendent of the last school attended are still needed for ages 16, 17 and 18
Applying for the GED Create an application on www.ged.com You must have a valid email address
Career Guidance Ohio law provides GED test takers with career and educational guidance from local Career Technical Planning Districts Voucher worth up to $80 to defray the $120 application fee for first time computer-based testers only (Ohio residents only)
How to Receive the Voucher Test takers must answer "yes" to the voucher question during the application process.

Voucher Expiration All vouchers issued as of January 2014 will expire on Dec. 31, 2014 There are no extensions
Voucher Expiration Ohio GED Office will not issue a new voucher once the testing process has begun. The tester must complete all four sections of the test priortoDec. 31 of the issuing year. Only one voucher per computer-based tester will be issued.
