POSTER • Conforms to the simplicity of having one main focus in the picture. • American Zombie – The Hand • Zombieland– The Earth • Resident Evil – The Face • Conforms to the usual zombie theme colours (Dark/Black & Red) • Conforms by having a tagline, which isn't just a zombie subgenre convention but a general horror convention. • Subverts by having an image which doesn’t have any particular scary connotations whereas the others do.

MagAZInE • Its hard to say whether I have conformed or subverted from a zombie film front cover as: • There are a lack of zombie movie magazine front covers • The styles and conventions of a magazine front cover are so varied • I have chose to conform to the style of having an ‘in your face’ front cover (Star Wars Cover) • Also chose to have a front cover which easily gives the reader an idea of the genre and type of movie it is. (Evil Dead 2 Cover) • However I have subverted from the typical horror movie convention of having the main picture as a still image from the movie. (Evil Dead 2 & Hannibal Cover)

  4. FULL EVaLUAtIoN he combination of my main task being my trailer and my ancillary texts, my poster and magazine I think they go together very well. Seeing as the continuity of the font used on my poster and in my trailer are the same and the the dark theme is kept. My unique selling point is having a zombie genre movie set in a modern, urban area. It is also based around teenagers so it involves slang and reflects aspects of typical everyday urban youth life. As our film is aimed at people of different audiences I have designed my magazine and poster to target each audience. I designed my poster with the a simple black and red theme, and it solely has a rose. This was made for the audience that are horror lovers and enjoy the dark mysterious movies. Then my magazine was to reveal that it is a zombie/monster type of movie using the arm, and the idea of revealing one character which is youthful shows that it is more than likely to be based around youths which will attract the teens and younger audience.
