  4. Current Status • Fundamental Course & LTR program have final approval – ready for implementation. • Program Manager module is ready for Pilots. • Beginner Learn to Sail Coach is being piloted before 31 March. • Advanced Learn to Sail coach evaluation form is being piloted before 31 March.

  5. Critical Changes in Coach Evaluation • Real candidates for coach evaluations • Professional development is related to coach certification • Fundamental course conductors need NCCP 3 • Rubrics

  6. What is an Evaluation Rubric? • Hand out Beginner Coach example • Quality control • Defensible standards

  7. What’s left to do? • Fundamental Course & LTR program – Instructor and Instructor Trainer certification for all provinces. • Program Manager module – implement in 2007 • LTS Coach context(s) – pilot in 2007 • Competitive Race Coach – pilot in 2008 • Performance Race Coach – pilot in 2009 • Develop additional Professional Development modules as required • Develop CYA Boat Rescue Course

  8. What are the challenges? • Jumping through the NCCP hoops • Volunteer overload • New CAC consultant • Stick to a plan!!
