Basic strategy “Outside in” Integrating as much library info as possible + press info, wikipedia, recommendations, journal articles, reviews, public domain full texts, tagging… & linking to library online services “Inside out”Bringing the library on web platforms: facebook, electronic learning environment, web sites of libraries and local communities Strategy towards search engines (Google)

Usability: 3 types of pages on the web Web page where you search, select, find - Librarians think : ‘the catalogue'- The rest of the world thinks : “Google” Web pages where your search lands “a product detail page should be a combination of good content, semantic mark up, and thoughtful design that appeals to shoppers, is easy to manage, and indexes well” (E-commerce Developer) Library portals: a page per author & a page per book Service pages (transactions)- Order a book, renew your loan… Listen to music (digital player), read (digital viewer)
