  2. WIPER Parts Program • GSFC EEE-INST-002, Level 3 Program • PIND required for applicable parts • DPA may be required on specific parts • Life test may be required on specific parts

WIPER Standard Parts • Microcircuit: MIL-STD-883 or better + PIND • Semiconductors: MIL-PRF-19500 JANTX or better • Passives: “R” Reliability Level, “B” Weibull Failure Rate • Crystal Oscillators: MIL-PRF-55310, class “B” or better • EEE-INST-002 Level 3 or Better • NPSL • Connectors/Pins/Sockets procured to MIL spec standard except for outgassing per 311-INST-001A

  4. Particle Impact Noise Detection (PIND) • Performed on: • Microcircuits, hybrids, MCMs • Transistors and diodes (with an internal cavity)

  5. Destructive Physical Analysis (DPA) • DPA may be required by PCB • Requirement will be based on history, GIDEP alerts, reliability concerns • Performed IAW S-311-M70 • Variation in sample size determined by PCB

  6. GIDEP Search • GIDEP search performed Jan. 2006 • Performed on preliminary flight parts list
