  2. Question • How do I create better informal assessments that provide information needed for re-teaching to improve examinations?

  3. Setting the Stage • Two weeks, backwards lesson planning, no informal assessment other than homework and tier II intervention. Low. • Two weeks, backwards lesson planning, exit slips daily, mini quizzes, and homework check, with tier II intervention.

  4. Limits • Interrupted class time for different periods • Attendance during the first test sample • Addition in students • Addition of intervention teacher

Problems and conclusions • 1st period added three students and an intervention teacher and showed a 11.2 test average increase • 2nd period I was pretty proud of because they benefited with almost a 10 pt. increase of intervention with all but 3 out of the 12 students. • 4th period struggled to show growth and that is also lunch. They also did start out with the highest test scores • 5th period is the biggest class and hardest working and usually my best lesson of the day. 10.6 increase • 7th period had a 7.9 point increase but I threw them out of the conclusion because I changed my structure of that class.

  9. In conclusion • I’m always doing informal assessments!!!!!!!!!!!!!
